International Women's Day 2023

On March 8th, we celebrate International Women's Day, a day to honor the achievements and contributions of women worldwide. As we commemorate the strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit of women everywhere, we recognize the women within The Bank of San Antonio team who continue to make a positive impact. In celebration of their consistency of purpose and exploration mindsets; our leaders share their advice for growth, and who they admire as they help shape the future of our community.

If you could have dinner with 3 inspiring women, who would they be and why?
  • Oprah Winfrey, she never gave up and grew up to inspire and be successful beyond her circumstances.
  • Michelle Obama, she is from humble beginnings. She pursued her dreams and built an accomplished career. She balances, career, motherhood, being a wife and she conducts herself with class.
  • Eva Longoria, she wears many hats - mother, wife, actress, director, producer, and philanthropist. I admire how she finds ways to give back to the community.
Who inspires you?
My mother, Martha and father, Domingo. From humble beginnings, the work ethic was instilled in me and my siblings at a very young age. Our mother and father challenged us to work for our goals, and expect and overcome obstacles.

What is mission-critical for entrepreneurs and leaders to do to achieve their goals and grow?
Build and maintain a positive work culture. Be kind and approachable to employees and customers. Take time to listen to feedback and ideas. Recognize individuals who go above and beyond. Employees are our internal clients and best resource. Happy, loyal employees are the “secret sauce” to delivering exceptional service in any organization. Build a legacy, pay it forward, and mentor others
