Alan Kramer is our new EVP Commercial Banking Manager. As our bank grows in size and reputation, Alan will enhance our reach and impact, and further fuel our opportunities to grow business in San Antonio.
He joins the team with over 15 years of banking experience with business owners in San Antonio.
“We are proud to welcome Alan to our team as we help local businesses accelerate growth. Alan’s local leadership will serve our clients well,” said Alan Smith, Chief Lending Officer. “He will help lead the commercial team to relentlessly elevate the banking experience and offer proactive solutions in partnership with business owners.”
“I’m an advocate of strategic growth for businesses and our community,” Kramer said. “I’m honored to join the team that’s done so much to help San Antonio businesses thrive. It’s an exciting opportunity and honor.”
Alan will help power ongoing connections with clients and new entrepreneurs, as he and the team will host exclusive events focused on connecting the network of entrepreneurs in San Antonio. These events include luncheons with industry leaders and subject matter experts and seminars to provide timely entrepreneurial education and engagement.
Having primarily worked in large-scale corporate banks, Kramer appreciates the opportunity to work in a community-focused bank. He looks forward to getting to know his teammates and expanding relationships.
“I think it took me 15 years in banking to get the skill set, but also the self-awareness of where I, and my personality style, and my management style fit best,” Kramer said of his decision to take his skills and experience to a locally-owned bank.
Kramer has achieved many successes in commercial banking, including receiving the highest composite production and client satisfaction of all Business Banking client managers in South/Central Texas for numerous years. Most recently, he managed a portfolio of middle-market clients at Wells Fargo & Company, where he expanded their portfolios with productive strategies and sourced new opportunities to creatively generate new sales, which led to large year over year revenue and net income increases.
He has lived most of his life in San Antonio, and believes right now is a great time for this city to benefit from the knowledge he and The Bank of San Antonio offer: “It's an amazing growth opportunity to be in San Antonio, but we haven't lost what makes us special. Because not only are we committed to building strong relationships between individuals and between companies, but we have an inherent pride in being from and working in San Antonio.”
