Philanthropitch 2020 Virtual Event | Social Impact For San Antonio's Nonprofits

PHILANTHROPITCH SAN ANTONIO

The Bank of San Antonio proudly presents Philanthropitch San Antonio, an exciting virtual pitch competition where seven of San Antonio's most innovative nonprofits take the stage to compete for financial capital, business coaching, pitch training and promotion.

"We are honored to bring Philanthropitch to San Antonio to raise funding and support for innovative nonprofits," said Brent Given, President and CEO of The Bank of San Antonio.

To date, Philanthropitch has given over $1.3 million in donations to more than 80 organizations, and the amount which will be given away to San Antonio finalists this year is expected to exceed $80,000. The audience will also select a favorite finalist for the Audience Choice Award and the winner will be awarded additional funds.

This years’ finalists who will present 3-minute pitches include:

Animal Defense League enhances the quality of life for the abandoned, abused and neglected pets in our community by providing needed medical care, including spaying and neutering, food, shelter, and safety – along with compassion and attention. While maintaining a healthy and loving facility, ADL consistently works to find the best possible home for each resident animal.

Black Outside provides culturally relevant outdoor experiences to youth of color across Central Texas. They intentionally craft experiences that build off of the powerful history of people of color in the outdoors, and deepen the leadership skills of our youth.

Good Samaritan’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for change, supporting youth, individuals, and families by providing excellent community services to overcome economic poverty.

Junior Achievement South Texas (JAST) inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy.

Mission City Renewal engages communities by incubating projects and designing resources for the renewal of local neighborhoods.

The Mobile Mental Wellness Collaborative of San Antonio meets the behavioral health needs of school-aged students in their educational environment, reaching every child with mental health risk concerns as early as possible with effective and responsive services. The pilot Mobile Mental Health Collaboration partners are South San Antonio ISD, Jewish Family Service of San Antonio (lead agency), Family Service Association, Clarity Child Guidance Center, Communities in Schools, and Rise Recovery, and Children Bereavement Center.

Say Sí ignites the creative power of young people as forces of positive change. We value artists, empower marginalized communities and advance culture.
